On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Builder Olusesan Daini, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), conducted an inspection of the ongoing Lasori-Abuja road construction project fully sponsored by the local government council.
Accompanied by his cabinet members and top council management, Daini’s visit was unannounced but well-received by residents and construction workers alike, who greeted him with cheers and smiles.

The road construction project, which was officially launched on May 15, 2024, aims to significantly enhance the infrastructure of the Abuja-Lasori community. The road will span 380 meters in length and 7.3 meters in width, promising to improve both the local economy and the quality of life for residents.

In a recent interview with The NewsExtremists, Daini expressed gratitude to the Lagos State government for its swift intervention in supporting the construction of an upgraded bridge over the Abuja-Igbogbo channel. He noted that this collaboration involved the Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources from the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, highlighting the government’s commitment to facilitating the project.

Daini emphasized that this partnership has greatly contributed to the smooth progress of the road construction, showcasing the effectiveness of collaborative efforts between the local council and state government.

As the project moves forward, Daini remains optimistic about the positive impact it will have on the community, including improved access and economic opportunities. The Lasori-Abuja road construction is set to be a transformative initiative for the Igbogbo Baiyeku area, ensuring better connectivity and enhanced living standards for its residents.

The council continues to monitor the progress closely, ensuring that construction meets quality standards and is completed on schedule.
